Danny Ongais (born May 21, 1942 in Kahului, HI, died February 26, 2022 in Anaheim, CA) was a American racing driver famous for his appearances in Formula One and American Open Wheel racing.
Formula One
1977-1978 - Interscope & McLaren
Ongais had a program sorted for the 1977 that would see him take part in the North American races for the Interscope Racing outfit alongside his USAC commitments.
As well as this, Ongais also raced in two of the non-championship Grands Prix for Marlboro Team McLaren.
Ongais remained with Interscope in 1978, this time taking in the full season.
