Career

2014–15: Rejects of LFS

Dorval's notable career started with the 2014 Rejects of LFS season driving for Hydook Racing. He got one points finish all year, a 2nd in the feature at South City, earning him 11th in the championship. His teammate Anton Bosevic beat him in most races, but never scored. The team retained Dorval for the 2015 season, and he made the feature in the first two weekends—more than either of his teammates could do—but didn't score any points. Hydook left the series afterward, and he spent the rest of the season as Racing Team Solvalou's sole entry, where he still didn't get any points.

2016: GT-R

He moved to IFRC for 2016, still with Solvalou. He got in the points most of the time and only failed to qualify for the final once. The highlight was a heat win in Mexico. He finished seventh in the championship, the team coming eighth thanks to the second drivers being fairly ineffectual.

2017–18: F2RWRS/F2

He appeared in the pre-season test at Estoril and the young driver test for ENB and was an official test driver for the team that year. More significantly, ENB ran him in F2RWRS as a race driver. In the Pacific Rim Cup, his only points were from a 3rd at Laguna Seca. In the main series' season, he finished in the points three times, including a 2nd at Spa, beating teammate Jason Hamilton in most races. He ended up 12th in the championship. He stayed with the team and the series, now F2, for the 2018 season. From twenty-six races, he got nine points finishes, including three 3rds and a win at Karjala. He finished the season in 11th, two places behind his teammate, whose results were steadier. He also appeared in the ARWS 2018 Young Drivers Test.

2019: ARWS

For 2019, Dorval would compete for ENB in ARWS, partnered with Shane Walsh. Walsh qualified for nine races to his six, and beat him in the one race where they both finished. That race was in fact the only one where he finished all season, and he came 15th.
