Wouter Lamberigts (born 30 October 1990 in Maastricht, Netherlands) is a Belgian racing driver who currently competes in the Formula 2 Rejects World Race Series. He won the series' inaugural race, the 2013 FedEx 100. His younger sister Dorien Lamberigts also had a limited motorsports career.

Early career

Started like many other drivers in karting, results were however average. His race-debut was in 2006 in British Formula ford, in which he competed 2 years without any notable results. Next seasons featured attempts in several Formula Renault championships were equally unsuccesful. Some succes followed in 2010 where he won 2 races in Auto GP, finishing 4th overal. A campaign in Superleague Formula for Dynamo Minsk followed, in which he won 3 races.

Touring cars

These somewhat decent results led to a works drive for Wartburg in the REECCS (Rejectful Eastern European Cars Computerised Series). However, in this competitive series, featuring lot's of top drivers, he could not make an impression with the unstable and underpowered Wartburg car.

F2RWRS

Thanks to a long-standing deal with sponsor Lotus Professional, some budget was acuired to compete in the feeder series of the highly competitive F1RWRS, the F2RWRS. His Belgian connections got him a drive with the junior team of car manufacturer Gillet. This sponsorship also includes a participation in the World Endurance series with the succesful Gillet Vertigo.

In his F2RWRS début at the 2013 FedEx 100, Wouter took a magnificent victory for Gillet, taking over the lead when Hansuke Shioya retired from the race. The race was a standalone event, a preview of the 2014 F2RWRS season.

Despite the season being a dissapointment with few results, Wouter did impress with 3 pole-positions and often qualifying in the top 3.
