:How about no. Converting articles to templates makes editing them unnecessarily complex and it's not really worth the few bytes it might save. Not to mention that it actually takes even more space, as you then need two pages for one article (one for the article itself and one for the template). As an example: [[The Iceman Waiteth]]. I see you've converted some of the seasons there into templates, which while reducing the size of that page massively has actually hogged even more server space in the form of those templates. Just stop trying to "improve" the wiki by adding templates and categories no-one else is using and do more useful things like updating outdated pages.

Templates

My wiki has the format of Template:Ferrari-Jaguar which would basically be Ferrari-Jaguar. Ok it might not help, but you shorten the page by about 500 bytes. HawkAussie (talk) 00:32, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

How about no. Converting articles to templates makes editing them unnecessarily complex and it's not really worth the few bytes it might save. Not to mention that it actually takes even more space, as you then need two pages for one article (one for the article itself and one for the template). As an example: The Iceman Waiteth. I see you've converted some of the seasons there into templates, which while reducing the size of that page massively has actually hogged even more server space in the form of those templates. Just stop trying to "improve" the wiki by adding templates and categories no-one else is using and do more useful things like updating outdated pages.
Besides, we've stopped making articles on real-life entities unless they are involved in our canon F1. Nuppiz (talk) 13:22, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
