Stuart Nigel Lewis-Evans (born 20 April 1930 in Luton) is a British former racing driver. Beginning his career in the British 500cc Formula 3 scene, he soon made his Formula 1 début driving for his manager Bernie Ecclestone. Upon scoring a point in the Soviet Grand Prix, he hopped between teams in 1956, including Irish Racing Cars and B.C.M.A. before settling at Connaught for 1957. He developed a reputation as a quick driver in qualifying, but a series of slow cars prevented him from scoring any further points.
