Peter Whitehead (born 12 November 1914 in Menston, died 21 September 1958 in Lasalle, France) was a British racing driver who competed in Formula 1 from 1950 to 1954. The winner of the 1951 24 Hours of Le Mans, Whitehead is notable for being the first person to whom Enzo Ferrari ever sold an F1 car, a Ferrari 125. He died when his car fell 30 ft. down a ravine during the 1958 Tour de France. He was 43.
