Maurice "Mauri" Rose (born 26 May 1906 in Columbus, Ohio, died 1 January 1981 in Royal Oak, Michigan) was an American racing driver who briefly competed in Formula One in 1950 and 1951 and was more famous for winning the famous Indianapolis 500-mile race three times (in 1941, 1946 and 1947). In Formula One, he scored a podium in his début race for Alfa Romeo, but would never score again. He also won the American national title in 1936. After an unsuccessful attempt at the 1951 Indianapolis 500 and subsequent uninspired stint at Jaguar-Aston Martin Racing, Rose retired from racing at the age of 45.
