Jeroen Krautmeir (born in November 6th, 1989 in Cologne, Germany) is a former F1RWRS driver most famous for driving for Melrose Racing Team during the 2011 and 2012 F1RWRS seasons.

F1RWRS carrer

JLD Motorsport (2011)

His junior category results in Germany caught the eye of several F1RWRS teams, most notably JLD Motorsport who were looking to bring back a second car alongside Daniel Melrose after former driver Dave Simpson left to set up his own team. Krautmeir was drafted in to fill the void for the rest of the season but his debut was mediocre at best with only a 14th place finish at the British Grand Prix. 2 DNPQs and another quiet race followed before a simply fantastic drive at the Tasman Grand Prix got him his first points and podium with third place. While Krautmeir's season continued to be inconsistent, he did end his season with his first win at the championship decider at Laguna Seca after a late race battle with Giovanni Roda showing that the young German had inherent pace in him.

Melrose Racing Team (2012)

With Melrose taking over the JLD team for 2012, Krautmeir was kept on in the driver front. While the M3 was much more difficult to drive than the JLD M2, Krautmeir still managed to get his second career win at the Kent Grand Prix, which was something Melrose wasn't able to do throughout the year. That win took some of the pressure off Krautmeir who had a horror start to the year as the team's drivers tried to deal with the unpredictability of the M3. While Krautmeir was the faster of the MRT drivers, Melrose was his vast experience was by far and away the more consistent of the two as he managed to extract the maximum out of the car on a more regular basis, which meant Melrose was 7th in the championship with Krautmeir only 13th by season's end.
