Hansuke Shioya is a Japanese racing driver, currently competing in the 2015 season of the Formula 2 Rejects World Race Series for the Castrol Jones Racing team. In addition to this, he is also the official test and reserve driver for the front-running DGNgineering team in the F1RWRS, for whom he made a one-off appearance at the final race of the 2014 season, the Japanese Grand Prix, finishing in second place.

2014

Having been generally under the radar during his early career, Shioya got his break when he was handed a drive at the Kit-Kat Warriors team in 2014. The outfit had been established by Chris Dagnall as a junior team to DGNgineering for the newly formed F2RWRS series, and alongside Shioya would initially be Giconi Okorie, though later on in the season his teammates included Phil McCracken and Bastiaan van Nieuwenhuijzen. The Kit-Kat team in general suffered a poor year, finishing bottom in the teams' standings, though Hansuke was able to take victory in the German GP, but would only score points on two other occasions all season. With such poor form, Dagnall had seen enough and closed the doors on the team, instead switching his full focus to the far more successful DGNgineering. In Shioya however, he saw potential and handed the young Japanese the second DGN seat at the final race of the F1RWRS season, alongside newly crowed double world champion Mark Dagnall. In the race Shioya performed excellently, and whilst Dagnall romped away for the win, Hansuke backed him up with an excellent second place, demonstrating his potential in a good car.

2015

Shioya's qualifying performances and his outing in the F1RWRS had attracted the attention of Sammy Jones, the team owner of the Jones Racing team which would be fielding its own cars in the F2RWRS for the first time in 2015. Having already promoted Terry Hawkin to the first seat from his F3RWRS team, Jones wanted a good qualifier that had previous F2RWRS experience, and Shioya fit the bill. He was signed on for another year in the series, whilst Dagnall had made Hansuke the official test and reserve driver for DGNgineering for 2015.
