He was known as a talented driver, eventually scoring a podium in his first ever Formula 3000 race at the Le Mans Bugatti Circuit in 1989. The Frenchman was particularly known as an adept racer on street circuits.
After retiring from motorsport, Artzet moved to Noumea in New Caledonia.
