Daniela Anger
Daniela Anger (b. 5th December 1999 in Lausanne, Switzerland) is a Swiss professional racing driver and the daughter of Dietrich Anger. She made her Reject Motorsport debut for Plus One Racing Engineering in the 2016 F1 Rejects Development Series season.
Early career
After being told as a six-year old that her father used to be a racing driver, Daniela decided to follow in his footsteps. Due to motorsport being banned in her home country, Anger started racing in Germany, eventually finishing 5th in the tough German Junior Kart Championship in her debut year at the age of 13. Next year she improved by finishing 2nd in the overall standings, and continued on to her first single seater series, the French F4 Championship, where she finished 4th.
F1RDS
2016
Anger was surprised to be chosen as the driver of Plus One Racing Engineering seat in F1RDS. In fact, Scott Marsden was originally going to drive the car but moved up to IFRC as Brucie Kibbutz made a last-minute switch to F1RWRS. During the first weekend of the season it was evident that it would take a while for her to adapt to the F1RDS car with a 16th place finish in the first start, although her result then improved to 11th and just outside of the points in the second start. She would then score her debut points at the first race of the British round by finishing 7th after qualifying an impressive 3rd.
