Alessandro Marchesi
Alessandro Marchesi (born April 2, 1992 in Bari, Italy) is a Italian racing driver who will drive for MRT in the 2015 F2RWRS season.
Racing Career
Marchesi started out karting before going over to the 2013 Formula 2 series with Super Nova Racing, which he placed 2nd in the championship. Despite that, nobody would sign Marchesi in Formula One so he signed with Aston Martin in the new F2RWRS for 2014.
He placed 4th in Turkey, but the celebrations were muted as teammate Andrej Kremnicky was injured earlier in the race. Since then, he placed 4th in France, Austria and Italy, and got his first podium in the Czech Republic. His 5th place finish in the championship led him to be signed with MRT for the 2015 season. Despite winning a race in Great Britain, his results through the whole season were mixed, and Marchesi rejoined Aston Martin for the 2016 season.
