The 2017 F1RDS Winter Cup was projected be the third Winter Cup, after previous visits to Japan and the USA. However, with the addition of the Formula Nippon Rejects Championship and the Pacific Rim International Cup, the Winter Cup was deemed surplus to requirements and dropped.
