Racing Career
2015: RoLFS & F3RWRS
After Hydook driver Benoît Voeckler was removed from their RoLFS team after instigating a number of collisions, Vergne got the nod to replace him by the RoLFS commission for the race at Westhill. He acquitted himself reasonably well, coming 12th in his heat. This was the first time he'd driven a car with approximately 500bhp and thus it seemed a good result, but it wasn't enough to get into the feature race. Hydook pulled out after that race, leaving Vergne without a seat.
Having driven for Octan in F3RWRS at the Monaco SuperPrix, he impressed the team enough to get offered a recall for the SuperPrix at Spa. However, their star driver Dorien Lamberigts ended up getting banned for the race at Germany and thus Vergne was called up to replace her. Some solid if unspectacular performances were what he managed, but was moved over when Lamberigts' ban had ended. Vergne was due to appear again for Octan for the Surfers' SuperPrix, but for some reason this never materialised.
2016: IFRC
Having strongly been linked to Fusion's F3RWRS team, he was confirmed alongside Jiri Komárek for the 2016 season. However, after Nebula Grand Prix took over Fusion's team, he was moved along to their IFRC team after their application for a second car was approved. He therefore joins Quentin Reatherson, whilst Thiago Mazzacane joins Komárek in F3RWRS.
