Ultimate Racing
Ultimate Racing, also known as Team Ultimate is a British motor racing team that is currently competing in Rejects of LFS.
History
Little is known about team's past before 1998, where the English squad competed in the 1998 Rejects Touring Car Championship season.
Rejects Touring Car Championship
1998
Team Ultimate signed a contract with Ford to field two Mondeos for American Cave Johnson and French- German Michael Prost, with an option for a possible works entry in 1999. The team also ran a BMW 320 for Englishman Rob Collard. Ultimate attracted sponsorship from insurance company Norwhich Union, with the team being officially known as Norwich Union Team Ultimate.
Team Ultimate dominated pre-season testing, with Prost and Collard taking turns at the top of the time-sheets.
At the first event of the season, at Silverstone, Michael Prost took his, the squad's, and the series' first win in Race 1, with Cave Johnson making it the first 1-2, while Collard could only manage 7th. In Race 2, Cave Johnson finished second to Fabrizio Giovanardi racing for Martini Nissan Racing, while Prost crossed the line 4th with Collard 5th
Rejects of LFS
In 2014, Rejects of LFS was set up as a revival of F1 Rejects LFS Cup. The team signed up immediately for the series and brought Cave Johnson and Sebastian Prost. The debut year was sucessful; Johnson won the championship that year.
