2012 was a mixed bag for motorsport: The F1RWRS title fight went down to the wire at the season ending Indy 500,with Pippa Mann eventually wrapping up the title. HWNSNBM had the chance to seal his second title at the F1RMGP finale at Adelaide, but when title contender Jan Magnussen retired from the race, HWNSNBM was able to cruise to an easy race win and title victory. However, 3 series collapsed. The IRDU Rejects Cup, renamed from the Rejects of LFS cup, collapsed after just two test sessions. The newly-formed Lotus Racing League also failed to get off the ground, with the new Street Racing League,a series held only on street circuits, shut up shop after just 3 races.
