Jari Kekkonen
Jari Kekkonen (born February 27, 1993 in Espoo, Finland) is a Finnish racing driver known for his career in the F1RWRS.
F1RWRS Career
Kekkonen started off in the mid-season tirade at ArrowTech ART. There, he had middling results, but a fifth at Surfers Paradise unrejectified himself. He finished 25th in the championship. In the 2012 season, usually Kekkonen was stuck in Pre-Qualifying, but scored points to make up for this. Despite this, Kekkonen said many times during the season that he was unpleased with his preformance from the team and left at the end of the season. Kekkonen joined up with Red Bull Team Phoenix. He didn't score a point before being sacked for pay-driver Ron Mignolet. After a brief stint at MRT as third driver, Kekkonen replaced Dave McFaste at FAT Turbo.
Kekkonen had a contract with WilliamsF1 for the 2014 season in F1. Needless to say, it didn't go so well, and Jari found out that the F1RWRS was infinitely better. He was signed to a reserve role with Boxtel after Boxtel determined that Nathanael Spencer was mostly useless. He raced for the team for the Mexican, USA and Canadian Grand Prixs, scoring a confident eighth place in Mexico and helping Boxtel out of pre-qualifying in the process. His next two races were subpar; his slow pace caused Boxtel to DNPQ in Long Beach and he failed to qualify for the Canadian Grand Prix despite making it through pre-qualifying (with the help of Andrea Battani). Through the rest of the season, Kekkonen scored three points with Boxtel in the 2015 season, including a fifth place finish at the finale in Brazil, on his way to coming back into the F1RWRS scene.
However, it wasn't to be for Kekkonen. The 2016 season for Boxtel was disastrous, as the car was slow, the team was running out of money, and they were also running out of luck as well. Boxtel was mired in Pre-Qualifying for a good half of the season before escaping from it at the Monaco GP, but their pace during the race did not improve. Kekkonen was let go from Boxtel before the end of the season due to sponsorship reasons, and Kekkonen quickly signed a deal with Voeckler in the AutoReject US series, as well as becoming the Voeckler GPE reserve driver.
