Hiroshi Takagi (born on February 17, 1946 in Fukoka, Japan) is a retired racing driver from Japan. He drove for Tyrrell in the 1979 Formula One season, having a serious feud with Mario Andretti that year. Andretti notably collided with Takagi four times in three races, and following this and Andretti's lackluster results, he was replaced with Derek Daly from Canadian round onwards, ending Takagi's feud with Andretti (although Takagi ended up crashing with Daly in the finale of 1979). In 1980, Hiroshi stayed with Tyrrell and declared war against McLaren and Merzario as well as saying that Andretti was cursed (actually turned out true).
After retiring from motor racing, he set-up a racing team, the Takagi Motor Racing Team, which later Kazuhiko took over after he retired too, rechristened as Takagi Racing Enterprises, which is currently competing in RoLFS and F3RWRS. Hiroshi is currently married to Yuki, a (retired) singer, and has two sons, Kazuhiko and Tetsuya, both racing drivers.
