Several changes to the calendar were made due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several races were cancelled resulting in only 9 rallies this season, however a round in Austria and a round in Tenerife were added to the calendar whether or not they will be permanent rallies on the calendar is unknown.

Scoring system
Points were awarded to the top ten classified finishers in each event. In the manufacturers' championship, teams were eligible to nominate three crews to score points, but these points were only awarded to the top two classified finishers representing a manufacturer.
