The 2016 Elite Racing League season was the 1st Elite Racing League season, competed over 10 races in 10 rounds. It is a non canon season (Like all Elite Racing League Seasons) Drivers and teams throughout the season battled for the Drivers and Manufacturer Championships. It started on the 20th March in the USA at the Circuit of the Americas and ended on the 1 July in Great Britain. It was simulated using Forza Motorsport 7. It even featured the Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team, setting up an Elite Racing League branch team to see if that would boost fan numbers. The final round was unusual because due to a special occasion happening in Lincoln that day the race was pushed forward to the Friday as the ERL owners decided to host as a specially built street circuit. This would be the only time the Lincoln Street Circuit would be used for racing. It would also be the first and only Friday race. | The 2016 Elite Racing League season was the 1st Elite Racing League season, competed over 10 races in 10 rounds.
