The Lancia D40 was a F1 car designed by Vittorio Jano for the 1950 Alternate Formula One season. The car was very innovative, using many expirmental features which would later be ironed out when the team designed their next car 5 years later, the Lancia D50.
The car didn't perform well, as Nuvolari couldn't extract much out of the car, only getting points in the final round in Italy.
