Alexandre "Alex" Dias Ribeiro (born November 7th, 1948 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil) is a Brazilian former racing driver known for his appearances in Formula One.
After a moderately successful junior career, Ribeiro bought himself a drive at three Grands Prix in 1976 with the Ensign team. His first race - the season opening Argentine Grand Prix - saw him take an impressive fifth place. Ribeiro's two other outings - the United States Grand Prix West and the Canadian Grand Prix - would end in retirement on both occasions.
A full time drive beckoned in 1977, and Ribeiro moved to the Shadow team alongside March refugee John Watson. The poor Shadow chassis meant that Ribeiro would regularly fail to qualify.
