2016 Reject Rally Trophy | |
Previous: 2015 | Next: 2017 |
The 2016 Reject Rally Trophy season is the inaugural season of the RRT rallying competition, featuring six manufacturers from around the globe. Legendary rallying marques Peugeot and Ford, alongside previous top names Suzuki and Hyundai, plus newcomers Lada and Great Wall, all entered factory efforts, along with customer teams for those marques.
The calendar incorporated many classis rallies from days gone, with visits to Monte Carlo, Sanremo, "Safari" (Kenya), Acropolis, and Japan. There will also be new events, primarily Rally China, thanks to the investment from native car maker there Great Wall into the sport.
Alongside the main series runs a support class, RRT², which exclusively runs Trabant 601s converted to rally specification.
