Moravec was a successful driver in the Czech Republic, and after some fairly decent performances in German Formula 3 (14th overall in 2002, runner-up in 2003) and Formula 3000 (15th overall in 2004) got his first taste of Formula One machinery in [[2005 Alternate Formula One season|2005]], when he became a test driver for [[Jordan]] (no doubt helped by his sponsorship). After his stint at Jordan, Moravec returned home to the Czech Republic, and tested for the Czech A1GP team.

Martin Moravec (born 30 June 1980 in Brno, Czech Republic) is a Czech racing driver, founder of Czechmate Motorsport and driver agent.

Moravec was a successful driver in the Czech Republic and recorded some decent performances in German Formula 3 (14th overall in 2002 & runner-up in 2003) as well as in Formula 3000/GP2, where he consistently placed in the midfield. Eventually, aided by his Czech sponsors, he got his first taste of Formula One machinery in 2007 as a test driver for the Spyker Squadron team, taking part in six Friday practices that year. Following his short F1 stint, Moravec returned home to the Czech Republic and, among other appearances, was one of four drivers to race for the Czech A1GP team in 2007-08.

In mid-2009, Moravec took a sabbatical from racing and instead pursued a career in business. He founded Czechmate Motorsport later that same year with help from his personal sponsors, and later became a driver agent due to his keen interest of working with young drivers. After spending three years building and managing Czechmate, Moravec returned to active racing in 2013; that season also included his second start at the Le Mans 24 Hours, following a previous outing in 2008 for Charouz. Moravec then spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons on the European GT circuit before returning to the revived Škoda Octavia Cup in 2016; he finished third overall. The series' 2017 season was cancelled and thus the Czech moved back to GTs, alongside select TCR events, which he does to this day.

His son Patrik is also a racing driver who as of 2020 competes in the Anglo-Irish Formula 4.
