Dimitry Vitkin is a driver born on 12 December 1966 in Petropavl in the Soviet Union. Being son of an engineer in a tractor factory, Dimitry was one of the lucky few who was able to own a 'modern' Lada Samara, with which he did a few local rallies, and showing very good car handling.
Due to having some budget, LGPS team Trabant Rennsport was interested in his services. He never really showed to be capable of adapting to single seaters, but due to his skills as a mechanic, he nevertheless got occasional one-off rides with multiple teams in LGPS and later the Rejects-1 World Championship, as well as other minor championships.
Not being able to break trough, he returned to home (what was now territory of Kazakhstan after the dissolving of the USSR) to work in his fathers business and occasionally do rally raids with Kamaz-trucks. Truck racing really seemed to be Dimitry's thing, and when the 2016 RejecTrucks Super Series season was announed, he contacted RonDen Racing Engineering, knowing that they also own a transport company. The Deal was made to drive a Chevrolet truck and Dimitry had a competitive season. Proving that he still is a safe pair of hands.
