Honda is a Japanese manufacturer that has participated in Formula One, as an entrant, constructor and engine supplier, for various periods since the mid-1960's. After their involvement as a constructor in the 60's, Honda withdrew from Formula One and did not return until the mid-1980's, when they eventually became a championship-winning engine supplier.
After once again leaving Formula One in the early 1990's (only supplying engines on behalf of Mugen Motorsports during the mid-to-late 1990's), Honda started supplying BAR with engines in 2000, and a few years later bought the team outright. The company eventually left the series at the end of the 2013 season.
