Chelsie Knight started her motorsport career at the age of 8 using a go-kart previously campaigned by her older brother. in 2007 she moved into car racing competing in the Formula BMW UK championship finishing in 12th place. for 2008 she moved up to the Formula Renault UK championship scoring 2 podiums on her way to 6th in the championship. She remained in the championship for 2009 taking her first win dominantly at Silverstone although that was her only podium. for 2010 and 2011 she competed in the British Formula 3 Championship winning her second race in the series. over the course of 2 seasons she won 3 races achieved 13 podiums and placed a best finish of 5th in the championship in 2011. for 2012 she stepped up to the AutoGP championship finishing 4th in her debut season, 2012 was less successful and bad luck meant she finished 12th at the end of the season taking a best result of 4th in the final race. A move to China to compete in the Chinese Formula Masters championship brought success winning the championship in 2015 and finishing runner up 2014 and 2016.
