The series is a re-branding of International Formula Reject Challenge, aimed to iron out loopholes in the previous set of regulations, and hold the series in a higher regard in the motorsport world. The re branding would also see a move to establish the former F1 Rejects Development series as a direct feeder series, AutoReject 2.0
