Daniel Melville

Daniel Melville (born 13 July 1995) is an Australian racing driver currently competing in both the F2RWRS for the Holden Young Lions and the F3RWRS for ZimSport.

Career

Melville started racing in Australian Formula Ford at the age of sixteen, along with his twin brother Dean. Daniel finished second in the championship, before continuing to Australian Formula 3 in 2012, winning the championship in a dominating fashion. His performance impressed John Zimmer, who signed him for his young driver program with ZimSport. Melville competed in British F3 in 2013 and 2014, winning the second time, before he was promoted into the F3RWRS for 2015 alongside John's son Ryan.

His season started strongly, finishing third on debut in Adelaide, and winning his third race in Turkey. After Turkey he was given a chance in the F2RWRS, for the Young Lions, which became a full time effort when his stay was extended. His results dropped off slightly in the F3RWRS, although he still scored regular podiums, while a good result wouldn't come for Melville in the F2RWRS until he finished second in the Singapore Grand Prix.
