He runs the sponsorship of Kentucky Fried Chicken, his father being the owner of the brand's Indonesian franchise. As a result his cars tend to have the brand's slogan "Jagonya Ayam!" ("Chicken Experts!") displayed.
Having experience in both open-wheelers and GT cars Gelael currently races in Super Formula, driving for Team KCMG for the 2020 season.
