Mediterranean Motorsport is a Spanish racing team currently competing in the AutoReject World Series.
The team first surfaced internationally in the 1988 World Touring Car Masters season when they ran the de-facto works Renault team in the series by virtue of support from a number of Spanish dealers. The team ran Adrian Campos and Luis Villamil to very little success, only qualifying on a handful of occasions. At the end of the season, Renault opted to take control of the manufacturer deal themselves and joined with Voeckler GPE for the next few seasons. Mediterranean Motorsport opted to leave the WTCM from that point.
After a number of years in the motorsport wilderness, Mediterranean Motorsport began a partnership with the American Carrera Granada team in 2017 which saw them take part in the abortive 2017-18 Rejects SuperTruck Championship.
The following year, Mediterranean returned in their own right in the 2018 International Procar Championship running a pair of BMW M3s in the B Class of the championship. This was a moderately successful season with Pedro Renales taking two wins in class. In the same year, the team also took part in Italian Formula 4 and scored a win in the final race with Massimo Torelli.
Torelli and the team made the step up to the FIA Formula 3 Eurasian Championship in 2019 and managed a few podiums.
In 2020, the team made a shock move into top-tier single seaters by announcing a late entry to the AutoReject World Series in December 2019. The team signed an engine contract with BMW, but expectations were low as the team had only 3 months to design and build their first chassis. Brucie Kibbutz and Adélaïde Voeckler were signed as race drivers with Miguel Silva named as reserve.
