Lotto Racing

Lotto Racing, also know as only Lotto, is a belgian racing currently owned by portuguese entrepeneur and racing driver Miguel Rocha. The team was formed back in 1994, in an effort by Lotto president, Jean Luc Van Rossem, and Miguel's father, Carlos. The team first entered the 2nd season of the Rejects-1 World Championship and are currently racing in the Le Mans Cup.

History

Back at the end of 1993, with the demise of the Life Grand Prix Series, Jean Luc Van Rossem, the owner of the Lotto company, wanted to create a racing team to compete in the newly formed Rejects-1 World Champioship, but he decided to postpone their entry to 1995 when he realised that he had failed to see when the entrance request closed. During the 1994 year, he decided to concentrate his efforts on taking a full on attack for 1995. He eventually talked to one of his employers, Carlos Rocha, who eventually joined the team as the team principal. Rossem purchased mid-way through the year an Osella, and decided that he would only run a single car in 1995.

Rejects-1 World Champioship

Coming to 1995, Lotto we're granted an entry into the 1995 edition of the Reject-1 World Champioship. Rossem got in talks with Camaronese driver, Cameron Maroon, who'd eventually sign with the team. He will be driving an 1990 Osella FA1ME.

Le Mans Cup

23 years after the team got their entry accepted into the Reject-1 World Champioship, Miguel Rocha, the son of the man who was the team first principal, decided to re-erect the team that wasn't racing since the mid 2000s. Rocha is know as beeing an entrepeneur who made a fortune creating devices for computer, eventually becoming one of the richest portuguese in the world. He bought a Porsche 991 and signed italian driver, Kevin Giovesi and north korean, Kim Sung Ri.
