Carlo Franchi (born 1st January 1938 in Milan, Italy, died 13th January, 2021 in Busto Garolfo, Italy) was an Italian former racing driver who raced under the pseudonym of Gimax.

In 1977, Gimax drove in four Grands Prix for the Wheatcroft Racing team. He was replaced ahead of the British Grand Prix by Michael Tyrell, whom would purchase the team.

Gimax took part in the 1978 Trofeo Dino Ferrari for Scuderia Ferrari alongside motorcycle legend Giacomo Agostini. Gimax caused several accidents during the race and finished in tenth place. The performance saw him voted as the worst Ferrari driver of all time in a poll in 2021.
