Formula 2 in the ShaneEyoho Universe was a feeder series for Formula 1 up until 2018 as the FIA believed that each years roster was getting more competitive they decided to pay more attention to F2 and made it independently ran from the 2018 season. This would mean that the rules and regulations for 2018 would be the same. Among the roster were F1 rookies Lando Norris, George Russell and Alexander Albon as well as custom drivers Josh Beardmore, Kyle Macleod and Shane Wray.
Designed to make racing affordable for the teams and to make it an ideal training ground for life in Formula One, Formula 2 has made it mandatory for all of the teams to use the same chassis, engine and tyre supplier so that true driver ability is reflected. Formula 2 mainly races on European circuits, but has appearances on other international race tracks as well with their most recent races in their first independent season in 2018 at the Bahrain International Circuit in Bahrain and the Yas Marina Circuit in United Arab Emirates. The FIA have opened bids for other non European tracks to try and host an F2 race.

The race weekend begins on Friday with a 45 minute practice session which then leads, a few hours later, into a 30 minute qualifying session where the starting order for the race will be determined.
On the Saturday there is a feature race (which is about half the number of laps as the F1 race at that circuit) in which full FIA regulations apply meaning at least one pit stop must be carried out as well as the drivers having to use at least two sets of dry tyres in a dry race (one soft and one medium set as F2 doesn't have the hard tyres.)
Feature races will be run with a scoring system similar to the one used in Formula One:
|Point system for Feature Race|
The top eight finishers in a sprint race receive points as follows:
|Point system for Sprint Race|
Pole position for the feature race will now be worth 4 points, and 2 points will be given for the fastest lap in each race. Therefore, the maximum number of points a driver can score at any round will be 48. The driver recording the fastest lap has to drive 90% of race laps and must finish in the top ten of the race to be eligible for the fastest lap points.
In the case of a tie, the FIA will determine the champion based on the most first-place finishes. If there is still a tie, FIA Formula 2 Championship will determine the champion by the most second-place finishes, then the most third-place finishes, etc., until a champion is determined. FIA Formula 2 Championship will apply the same system to other ties in the rankings at the close of the season and at any other time during the season.
The 2018 season consisted of twelve rounds, making 24 races. It started in Bahrain on 7 April and finished in Abu Dhabi on 25 November. The 2018 season also introduced the new Dallara F2 2018 car as well as the all-new Mecachrome 3.4 litre V6 turbo engine with a large single turbo with a double waste gate, supplied by Dutch turbocharger manufacturer Van Der Lee Turbo Systems. This season is currently being played out.

FIA GT Endurance Cup Series
The FIA GT Endurance Cup Series is the name given to the third tier of the "FIA Pathway" this series started in 2020 along with the new Formula 2 programme. The series was made to give drivers and constructors a chance to show off what they can do over long distance races to hopefully gain a contract in F2 or even F1 respectively. Current F1/F2 drivers can also go to this series should they want to.
Other than being a start of the current FIA Pathway for F1/F2 hopefuls, it is a sports car racing series based in the United States and Canada and organized by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and the FIA. The series also has a European base at Silverstone Circuit hense the connections to the FIA Pathway. Monster Energy signed on as the title sponsor for the series in late 2019 before the inaugural season in 2020.
The season uses various tracks in America, Canada and Europe using a mix of ovals, road courses and street circuits to allow its participants to get used to different kinds of tracks.
