Anders Olofsson (born 31st March, 1952 in Argelholm, Sweden; died 23rd January, 2008 in Halmstad, Sweden) was a Swedish racing driver. Olofsson was a very versatile driver, making appearances in Formula One, World Touring Car Masters and the Le Mans 24 Hours - among other disciplines.

Formula One

Olofsson's Formula One career began in 1978 when he did a dual campaign in both the World Championship and the British Aurora AFX series with Hesketh.

WTCM

Olofsson was one of many drivers selected by Volvo to race for them in the inaugural World Touring Car Masters season in 1988. Competition was tight in their class and as such he was only able to qualify on two occasions.

Olofsson was dropped to domestic series in 1989, however he did take part in the season ending Tooheys 1000 at Bathurst - driving a Playscape Racing Ford Sierra RS500 alongside local driver Kevin Waldock. He and Waldock performed exceptionally well against the international field, finishing in fourth place overall - the best of the local teams.

This performance was enough to convince Volvo to recommit to Olofsson in 1990 and as such he returned to the World Championship full time.
