===Changes===
Several changes to the calendar were made due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several races were cancelled resulting in only 9 rallies this season, however a round in Austria and a round in Tenerife were added to the calendar whether or not they will be permanent rallies on the calendar is unknown.

The Rally de France was originally part of the provisional 2020 calendar due to Loeb and Ogier (the two most successful rally drivers) being in the series but this was moved back to the final race of 2021.

From September the Canary Islands were closed off due to the COVID-19 pandemic putting the Rally of Tenerife at risk of being cancelled, a hearing will take place every two weeks leading up to the event to see if the race will go ahead however chances are slim, if the event does not happen the Rally of Portugal will return as its replacement.

On 22 September the Rally of Tenerife was officially cancelled due to new COVID-19 travel restrictions to the Canary Islands from Europe meaning the Rally of Portugal was added.
