The 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship is a motor racing championship for Formula One cars which would be recognised by the governing body of international motorsport, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. It is said to be the 70th Formula One World Championship and the 72nd season of Formula One motor racing. Teams and drivers would be competing for the World Constructors' and World Drivers' championships. This is the 5th season of the ShaneEyoho Universe. The drivers championship was won by Josh Beardmore in his final year of his Mercedes contarct. Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen finished 2nd in his final season (he was brought in to replace Kyle Macleod who was still recovering from injuries suffered at the 2017 Austrian Grand Prix when he and Lewis Hamilton collided heavily with a wall.) and Sebastian Vettel came 3rd for Ferrari, Just like many of the following seasons the title wasn't officially decided until the final race which was the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In the World Constructors' Championship, Reigning Champions Mercedes won their fifth constructors title at the 2018 Singapore Grand Prix. This would be Shane Wray's first ever Constructors Championship win. Ferrari finished 2nd, whilst a monumental performance from McLaren put them 3rd this would start there rise back up the field to being best of the rest a few seasons later.
