The 2018 AutoReject 2.0 North America season was to be the second North American season of the AutoReject 2.0 series, before its merger with the AutoReject Indy Academy.

Decline and Merger

Due to a single-seater restructure orchestrated by the Rejects World Federation, the AutoReject 2.0 North America series was due to be rebranded as Velocity-3, providing the lowest tier of competition in the Velocity series with the intention of feeding promising drivers into the Indy Academy system; this would become Velocity-2.

However, the overall viewing figures of AR2.0NA dropped considerably as the season went on; the overall gap in talent between the front-runners and the rest of the field was one crucial factor in the decline, and so the investors who helped to start the series dropped out. The sale of the series to the Velocity Group was done in mid-season in order to try and restore interest, but with the renaissance of the FIA Formula 3 series a number of teams involved in AR2.0NA preferred the cheaper package that F3 racing offered.

At the end of the season, a number of teams withdrew from AR2.0NA and many elected to defect to F3. With just nine teams, Velocity decided to cut their losses and merge the series with Velocity-2. The old AR2.0 chassis was intended to be run in 2018, but instead the remaining cars were sold off to the Caribbean Racing League.
