2017 Elite Racing League season
Previous: 2016 Next: 2018

The 2017 Elite Racing League season was the 2nd Elite Racing League season, competed over 10 races in 10 rounds. It is a non canon season (Like all Elite Racing League Seasons) Drivers and teams throughout the season battled for the Drivers and Manufacturer Championships. It started on the 20th March in the USA at the Circuit of the Americas and ended on the 1 July in Great Britain. It was simulated using Forza Motorsport 7. This season saw the end of the 2016 test season with BMW, Ferrari and Mercedes all withdrawing from the series whilst also considering future offers, Renault left the series to focus on their Formula One programme whilst Chevrolet returned once again to partner Honda and Toyota as Constructors. The defending Drivers Champion was Shane Wray and the Defending Constructors Champions were Renault but the title was vacated after their leave. The series continued its corporate relationship with IndyCar meaning, if they so wished, IndyCar drivers would be able to participate. Whilst a few drivers from 2016 remained.
