The 1960 Elite Racing League season was the 1st season of the FIA's Formula One motor racing support series (the series would remain a support series until 1997.) The first Drivers Championship was one by Formula 1 champion of that year Jack Brabham from Australia whilst his team, Cooper-Climax, won the Constructors Championship the Cooper team also won the Formula 1 championship that year to. The championship itself was decided at the final race in Germany following an 7 race season.
