Alliot was signed to drive for the Ambrose-Milan Autosport team in the Prost GP Series for the inaugural season. After the team missed the first round in Australia, Alliot captured the pole in Mexico. He drove away from the field, accumulating a nine second lead prior to retiring with a suspension failure in the closing laps. At the next race in Canada, he qualified in 3rd, behind the cars of Mike Stern and Rafael Verwest. He raced his way up to the lead, and at one point he commanded the field by 17 seconds. However, his race ended like it did in Mexico, retiring with 5 laps to go due to an engine failure.
