Alessandro Cicognani
Alessandro Cicognani (born 16th March, 1991 in Ravenna) is an Italian Formula One driver.

Cicognani was a shock signing for the Generali Loonmotor Formula 1 Team ahead of the 2022 season - having emerged from the rather obscure world of Ligier single-make prototype racing. However, Team Principal Jonkvrouw Katja Mahalia van Loon defended her decision by stating that Cicognani was a "rough diamond". Although Cicognani's speed compared to his contemporaries was questioned - his reliable and steady approach to racing saw him pick up the occasional points finish on his way to 23rd overall ahead of race winners and podium finishers in Jules Bianchi and Charles Leclerc.

Cicognani's unorthodox path to Formula One and humble has seen him gain a cult following - with some describing him as F1's very own 'Eddie the Eagle'. Outside of motor racing, Cicognani helps manage his family farm.
