Walter "Walt" Brown (born 30 December 1911 in Springfield, died 29 July 1951 in Williams Grove) was an American racing driver who competed in the Indianapolis 500 when it was a World Championship race.
An AAA driver from 1936 to his death, he would score seven podiums in 42 starts, including a lone win at Langhorne in 1948. He finished fourth in the championship in 1949. He competed in the Indy 500 from 1947 onwards, starting the race in 1947 and 1951, with a best finish of seventh in the former. He died at the age of 39 when his ChampCar rolled during a qualifying run.
