Talk:Main Page
Hello,
Please feel free to ask any question, make any comment or anything else you feel that will aid the forum, but try and be civil. That should be a given across anywhere, really.
Also, try to finish off your posts with four "squiggles" (~~~~) which is beside the "1" key to show the user name and the time of the post. It makes everyone's lives easier.
Thanks, Jeremy (talk) 00:07, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Just a couple of things from me:
For those looking to update the "featured article" box, the best method is to just hit the "random page" button until a sizeable, up-to-date article comes up.
As for the "did you know?" box, please try and keep any updates there from the last few days of activity on the wiki. Again try and select pages that have a decent amount of content to them and something interesting or unique that's been added recently. Cheers!

Archive
Here's a handy template that can be used to add season navigation to season pages. To use this template, simply type the following anywhere on a series season page:
{{Season Navigation|A|B|C|}} .
A= The main page of the series, e.g. Formula One Rejects World Race Series
B= The previous season to the page you're on. For example, if you were on the page 2014 F1RWRS season, B would be 2013 F1RWRS season.
C= The next season to the page you're on. Continuing with the F1RWRS example, if you were on the page 2014 F1RWRS season, C would be 2015 F1RWRS season.
Hope that helps!
(Note: You do not need to type the [[ ]] tages when referencing a page, the template will do that automatically) Pasta maldonado (talk) 16:24, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Out of curiosity,
Who is the user "Stramala?" Jeremy (talk) 23:09, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
- I'm quite sure it's Kostas22. Nuppiz (talk) 08:09, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah it is. I really wish I could change my forum username... Stramala (talk) 23:10, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Other fictional series
In my opinion, the Other Fictional Series section on the main page has become quite untidy. I suggest the following: Series on-hold (which weren't updated for several months, in my opinion Flaschenpost's series, the Lotus racing league, etc...) get their own page, like the defunct series. In case that the series continues, it is moved back to the main page.
The active ones could be restructured in the following way: 1) RWRS universe series (RDS, RoLFS, Indy Championship etc..) 2) Revival/alternate history series (GPM2 Chairman game, Pasta_maldonado's rFactor series, my own F1 series etc...) 3) One-make series based on real cars (LifeGP, ProstGP, Porsche 356B cup) 4) Other series that don't fit in any of the categories.

- I've moved all inactive series to a separate page, which already tidied up the table quite a bit. However, your idea of splitting the series by their theme also sounds good and should be taken into consideration. Nuppiz (talk) 08:33, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Should the F1Rejects Masters be moved to the active series again? - Pi3141
- Done, made separate pages for Pointrox's defunct attempt and Wizzie's revival Nuppiz (talk) 22:14, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
Another handy template!
Hi guys, just created another template, a series infobox to go on the main page. An example of it's use can be found on the F1RDS page, and the tempalte page is here. If you have any questions, just ask, and also feel free to edit it if you feel it's missing something!. Pasta maldonado (talk) 18:29, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
New Car Templates
For everyone who loves getting things to the highest level of detail, here is a Template that you can use to provide information on various cars across the series. I have made a test page with the Prospec PRS 271 and it turned out quite nicely. Also, who is the fuel supplier for the F1RWRS?
- Fuel suppliers... I'd say just let the various team owners decide that but I know for a fact that JLD, MRT and Horizon all used Shell fuel during their F1RWRS stints. Wizzie (talk) 09:15, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
F1RMGP race dates
While writing out the profile for Jason Hamilton, I noticed that he took part in the Bathurst Enduro, though the fact his legs were broken at the time means that this would be pretty much impossible.
So instead of changing everything regarding Hamilton, I'm simply proposing to bring the F1RMGP race dates forward to schedule the Bathurst Enduro before the Indianapolis 100. Tommykl (talk) 07:01, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
The truth is that I thought several things were in a different universe when I entered him into them (Bathurst Enduro, Big Car, REECS) so that is why there are so many conflicts is the storyline, especially with sponsors and stuff. Hopefully one day I will sort out this stuff, sometime after I write out the Autodynamics storyline I thought of, which I have been meaning to write out for ages but just haven't had the motivation ~Eurobrun
I get that, I just included the series that were realistic enough (so excluding Wmetcalf's stuff and the line driver series, for example), and I thought that trouble in handling sponsorship wouldn't be such a big issue. In any case, the only issue was the date of the Enduro, which could be brought forward by, for example, moving some of the more spaced-out F1RMGP races forward in time. Master Calendar Page
I can never find the master calendar page with all the dates that is used to synchronize between all the RWRS series. It would be helpful if that was included somewhere on the main page. Tristan1117 (talk) 17:35, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
- You mean the 2015 Reject World Race Series season page, right? You can find it on the main page, it's the "Current Season" link in the "Rejects World Race Series" table. But I admit it could be made to stand out a bit more to reduce the chances of drivers accidentally driving at two different races at the same time. Nuppiz (talk) 17:46, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
- I have a week or two off and not that much to do with it at the moment - I'll work on a redesigned wiki page which gives more impact to the most popular series (RWRS/RMGP) and redo the other things as well in a way that makes it easier to read and navigate. But without touching the current homepage in the interim mind. Stramala (talk) 23:10, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
"Managed by" for List of female drivers?
I just thought this - shall we add OOC owners of drivers in the List of female drivers? FMecha (talk) 16:25, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
- Sure why not, the main drivers page has each drivers' "agent" listed as well. Nuppiz (talk) 18:00, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
Drivers by categorised by nationally
So I'm starting to do the drivers by nationallys and I might need help Matt121 (talk) 05:51, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

No, you're not. Pi314159 15:25, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
News Headlines box
Guys, this was not intended to be a fully-fledged story section. It's nothing more than a bullet-pointed list. Or at least, that was the intention. Making the box too long will start to make the homepage look a bit silly. Let's keep it brief as possible shall we? Stramala (talk) 23:52, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
If we do keep it brief but not too brief that we have no information Matt121 (talk) 02:58, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
Flags
Can we have some consistancy in filenames as most flags are file:Flag of [country] svg.png but a couple of minor ones like Micronesia and Greneda are just file:[country].png. This means it takes longer to add drivers as you have to edit pages to see what the file is.
I know Matt121 (talk) 22:38, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
Polandballs
Anyone monitoring the Recent Changes may have noticed four PMMF-related Polandball comics (three by Rated and one by tommykl). Personally, I don't think they are wiki-worthy. They should use the general image uploader. FMecha (talk) 14:04, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
