Terenzio Nicchi
Terenzio Nicchi (born October 30, 2000 in Vatican City) is a racing driver, son of Emanuele Nicchi and grandson of Valentino Nicchi. He became the first RWRS driver from Vatican City when he signed for Octan Young Drivers for the 2016 F1 Rejects Development Series season.
Career
2016
Nicchi started 13th on his debut in the Winter Cup at Sonoma, interestingly he lined up alongside Aimée Gauthier, granddaughter of Guillaume who Nicchi's own grandparent raced against in F1 in the '80s. He had a fairly quiet first race, finishing 11th just outside the points after a battle with Volker Scrattenheim. His second race was dissapointing as he qualified 17th and finshed 23rd after a poor pitstop. For the first race in Laguna Seca Nicchi lined up a strong 7th but dropped to 22nd, the position he would start race 2 in.
