Fireball Racing is a racing team based in Oyama, Japan near Fuji Speedway and founded by Japanese car dealers Kazaki Takeda and Daigo Nishikawa. They made their debut as a racing team in the 2005 Alternate Super GT season.
Alternate Super GT
Fireball Racing's first year in racing is the 2005 Alternate Super GT season in which they enter two cars, one for the GT500 and one for the GT300. Their line-up is Japanese based with 3 of the 4 drivers being from Japan. The only one who isn't Japanese is Loic Duval. The frenchman has a great reputation in Japan, and he is supposed to be the teams lead driver. The 3 Japanese drivers are Hideki Mutoh who is driving together with Loic Duval in GT500, and Yuji Kunimoto and Seiji Ara who are sharing the GT300 car. The team will enter a Honda NSX and a Nissan 350Z in GT500 and GT300 respectively.
