Ingo Hoffmann (born 28th February 1953 in São Paulo, Brazil) is a Formula One driver who drove for March in 1980.

Before Formula One

When he arrived in Formula One, Ingo Hoffmann was already an experienced driver in powerful open-wheel cars. He had completed four full seasons of Formula Two, and was well into his fifth when he received an offer from March to replace the injured Chico Serra following the British Grand Prix.

Formula One Career

Hoffmann's Formula One career began in the 1980 season, driving alongside Guillaume Gauthier as a replacement for the injured Chico Serra. In his debut race at the German Grand Prix, Hoffmann put in an excellent drive to score 9th place in the troublesome second car - this was an improvement on Serra's best result across the season's first ten races.
