Formula 2 in the ShaneEyoho Universe was a feeder series for Formula 1 up until 2018 as the FIA believed that each years roster was getting more competitive they decided to pay more attention to F2 and made it independently ran from the 2018 season. This would mean that the rules and regulations for 2018 would be the same. Among the roster were F1 rookies Lando Norris, George Russell and Alexander Albon as well as custom drivers Josh Beardmore, Kyle Macleod and Shane Wray.
Designed to make racing affordable for the teams and to make it an ideal training ground for life in Formula One, Formula 2 has made it mandatory for all of the teams to use the same chassis, engine and tyre supplier so that true driver ability is reflected. Formula 2 mainly races on European circuits, but has appearances on other international race tracks as well with their most recent races in their first independent season in 2018 at the Bahrain International Circuit in Bahrain and the Yas Marina Circuit in United Arab Emirates. The FIA have opened bids for other non European tracks to try and host an F2 race.
Race Weekend
The race weekend begins on Friday with a 45 minute practice session which then leads, a few hours later, into a 30 minute qualifying session where the starting order for the race will be determined.
On the Saturday there is a feature race (which is about half the number of laps as the F1 race at that circuit) in which full FIA regulations apply meaning at least one pit stop must be carried out as well as the drivers having to use at least two sets of dry tyres in a dry race (one soft and one medium set as F2 doesn't have the hard tyres.)
Point system
Feature races will be run with a scoring system similar to the one used in Formula One:

Pole position for the feature race will now be worth 4 points, and 2 points will be given for the fastest lap in each race. Therefore, the maximum number of points a driver can score at any round will be 48. The driver recording the fastest lap has to drive 90% of race laps and must finish in the top ten of the race to be eligible for the fastest lap points.
In the case of a tie, the FIA will determine the champion based on the most first-place finishes. If there is still a tie, FIA Formula 2 Championship will determine the champion by the most second-place finishes, then the most third-place finishes, etc., until a champion is determined. FIA Formula 2 Championship will apply the same system to other ties in the rankings at the close of the season and at any other time during the season.
