Vasiliy Dmitrievich Kuznetzov (born 7 February 1932 in Kalikino, Soviet Union, died 6 August 2001 in Moscow) is a racing driver that drove for the official Soviet Union F1 operation in 1955 and 1956. Not too much is known about Kuznetzov, other that he was a skilled racing car driver in his home land, and alongside fellow Soviet teammate Pavel Baranov he tested the Sokol Typ 650 machine. Despite his unknown reputation, he was able to qualify for the 1956 East German Grand Prix and got a 4th place. Impressed, GAZ crafted a new piece of machinery in time for Edinburgh. He failed to qualify for said attempt.
