Veli Waltari (born 21/07/1999 in Lahti, Finland) is a Finnish racing driver who is currently competing in the F3RWRS series for Aurico Autosport.
Early life and career
Veli was born on 21th July 1999 in Lahti in Finland and grew up with 2 brothers and 1 sister in a poor family. Veli's oldest brother started racing in karts at the age of 12 but as the parents didn't have money to supply his career and he didn't have the talent needed he gave up. However young Veli, at this time he was 6, found out that he too wanted to try karting. His parents weren't happy with that but they said OK and sent him to a club race in the town. The parents couldn't afford the costs of a career in karting but Veli quickly showed his talent and the Kart-club, where the race had been held, promised to pay Veli with his career.
F3RWRS
As Veli's talent grew bigger the finnish auto racing organization decided to sponsor him and with their help he stormed through the national ranks of racing and he is now, at the age of 17, ready to try the F3RWRS for the first time. He's got a race seat with American Aurico Autosport and is now ready to go for the ultimate goal. To get into F1RWRS.
